Paid Summer Research Assistant Opportunity – Yale School of Medicine

The Dong Lab at Yale School of Medicine (http://donglab.org) is urgently recruiting a motivated summer intern / Research Assistant to support a NIH-funded project involving extracellular vesicles (EVs), ultra-low-input RNA sequencing, and biomarker development for Parkinson’s disease. For this 3-month sub-aim, the candidate will isolate EVs from ~250 plasma samples using advanced EV isolation platforms including EXODUS that we co-developed, and then extract RNAs and send out for sequencing. Preferred background includes experience in molecular biology / wet lab research, RNA extraction or low-input RNA-seq,  EV/exosome research, and human plasma or biofluid processing. Candidates who are detail-oriented, have steady hands, work in an organized manner, and experience with plasma EV or RNA biology will be given priority. Master’s students and senior undergraduates preferred.
Location: 101 College St, New Haven, CT (not remote).

Duration: June 1st (or ASAP) to Aug 31st, 2026
Benefits: Excellent research environment with opportunities for first-author or co-first-author publications. Stipend.
